Description:

  • Volunteer opportunities as a Japanese Teacher Assistant (unpaid)

  • 20-35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Duration:

1-6 weeks volunteer program (Minimum 10 weeks study at BROWNS)

Start Dates and Availability:

A notice period of 10 weeks is required to arrange the program.

Japanese Teacher Assistant volunteer role is available during the following school term periods:

  • 27 January - 2 April 2026
  • 20 April to Friday 26 June 2026
  • 13 July - 18 September 2026
  • 6 October - 11 December 2026

Requirements:

  • Available in Brisbane only
  • Applicant must be 20 years or older
  • Minimum strong pre-intermediate English level or above when commencing the volunteer program
  • Minimum 10 weeks study at BROWNS
  • Valid Working holiday visa or Student visa
  • Submission of a completed BROWNS Volunteer Application form, blue card application
  • Students can stay in the BROWNS Student Apartment/House OR Homestay will be organised by the provider (RK Global Education Pty Ltd)

Placement fee includes:

  • Placing and coordinating schools/child care/aged care centre for student
  • Liaise with student, schools/child care/aged care centre for interview process
  • Liaise with student for their first day orientation
