Ipswich Grammar School has welcomed international students for many years.

Founded in 1863 as Queensland’s first secondary school, Ipswich Grammar provides a safe, nurturing and fulfilling environment for all students. Ipswich is located in South-East Queensland at the joining of the Brisbane, Lockyer and Fassifern valleys. It is centrally positioned as part of a national road network and is about 40 minutes from Brisbane, one hour from the Gold Coast and 45 minutes from domestic and international air and sea ports.
Ipswich is connected to Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, via a substantial road network as well as a fast electric train service, which is a short walk from the school.
