If you want independence and a social lifestyle, student apartments and houses could be perfect for you. You will live with other BROWNS students in fully furnished accommodation. It is a great way to make friends from all over the world from day one.

You can choose a private room or a twin-share room. Some rooms have private bathrooms. Prices vary depending on the room type and your budget, so there is an option for many different needs.

This option suits students who enjoy an independent lifestyle but also want to be part of a community. You will have your own space, but you will never feel alone.

2: Homestay

Homestay is living with a local. This is a wonderful experience for students who want to feel supported and welcomed in a home environment.

One of the biggest benefits of a homestay is the daily English practice. Not only will you learn English at BROWNS during the day, but you will also speak English at breakfast, dinner, and in the evenings with your homestay. This helps your language skills improve much faster and you’ll also learn about Australian culture.

Meals are included in your homestay. You can choose half board (breakfast and dinner during the week and three meals on weekends) or full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner every day). Weekly prices vary depending on the board option you choose. This is a comfortable and nurturing way to experience living in Australia as a student.

3: Demi Pair

The Demi Pair option is unique and very rewarding. Like a homestay, you will live with a local family and enjoy accommodation and meals. But there is a special difference.

In a Demi Pair arrangement, you help the family with light tasks. This might include some childcare support or help around the house (15 hours per week). In return, you pay no weekly rent. You only pay a one-time placement fee.

This makes the Demi Pair one of the most affordable ways to study English in Australia. But the benefits go beyond saving money. You become a real part of a local family. You practice English every single day in a natural, relaxed environment. It is a deeply personal experience that many students remember for the rest of their lives.
