From zero English to a place at one of Australia’s top universities.
That’s the journey one of our students made during his time at BROWNS English Language School (BROWNS) on the Gold Coast. In his own words, here’s how studying at BROWNS changed his life.

“If you are thinking about BROWNS English Language School, I strongly recommend it, because this language school changed my life for the better in a truly brilliant way. I have written about the details below.

BROWNS English Language School provided me with a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will treasure forever. When I arrived in Australia, I couldn’t speak any English, but now I have been accepted into Griffith University, which is one of Australia’s top universities, and I am now studying there!! The reasons are the absolutely lovely teachers, classmates, and my host family. They had a huge impact on my life. I have completely changed my lifestyle for the better. I made a lot of friends from many countries, including Japan, and most of them gave me opportunities to learn new things like surfing, dancing, and so much more!! I still keep in touch with these friends and we speak in English.

The teachers were great. They gave us a lot of chances to speak English in class, through conversation activities, and they always cheered me on. Over 13 months, I took most of the classes available, from Elementary level through to Advanced English and the IELTS course. The teaching style was completely different from what I was used to in Japan, and in my opinion, it was a much better way to learn English. The classes were so fun because the teacher always brought energy and passion for learning English.

My homestay host family supported me in every way. While staying with them for a year, I felt they were almost my own family, and I still feel that way, because we are still in touch and often have lunch together after I graduated from BROWNS!! I love them.

I can’t cover everything, because if I wrote all the great things about BROWNS, it would fill an entire book.
