Our Brisbane barista students visited Merlo coffee roasters in Bowen Hills and they were rewarded with an informative and enjoyable tour of the roastery.

We started with an order of our favourite coffee, and now two weeks into the course, the students showed how their knowledge and taste in coffee has become more discerning.
Double shots, long blacks, lattes and flat whites were the order of the day!

After an introduction by the staff manager into the history of Merlo, we then toured the roastery while learning of the many different blends and origins of the coffee in-house.

The enthusiasm displayed by the staff reinforced for the students that coffee, from seed to cup, is a passionate industry!
